We could hear people in the shared area talking and even fiddling with the coffee capsules, and the soundproofing was very poor. The walls were scratched, the water pressure was low, and warm water took minutes to come through. I didn't raise those other issues, but the bed was the main problem. It squeaked incredibly loudly with every movement, so we couldn't sleep properly. I contacted the owner the next day. She admitted the bed was broken, but came across as arrogant and said I should have called straight away. Calling someone at midnight didn't feel reasonable after a tiring day of travel, especially when we weren't comfortable waiting for someone to try a repair at that hour. The property should have checked things before we arrived; this could have been avoided. A night's rest is a basic expectation, and this stay fell far short. The poor upkeep and the owner's unprofessional attitude made it worse. I wouldn't recommend the property.

The room's tiny, but it does the job, and the shower is good. It's an old building right in the city center, and closing the windows keeps the noise out. Check-in is super fast and completely automated. There's also a shared guest space with a small kitchen where you can make tea or coffee.

The room is tiny, though perfectly adequate, and the shower is good. Since the building is historic and right in the city center, there can be noise, but shut the windows and it stays outside. Service is quick and fully automated. Guests also share a little kitchen area for making coffee or tea.

We loved the room's tasteful decor, the great bathroom, and the very comfortable bed, which was much appreciated after walking so many Km each day. The Wi-Fi was very good, there's a smart TV, and an elevator in the building that fits 2 people with baggage. Even though the street can be busy at night, which made us feel safe, the windows were well insulated and blocked out the outside noise when closed. The location was incredible. We stayed 3 nights just above Giolitti, and Simone welcomed us kindly and explained what we needed to know. The Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the north side of the river, including the Vatican, are all very close on foot. Everything we wanted to see in 4 days was within a 25 min walk. Rome is mostly flat, so getting around was easy, and we never needed a taxi or the metro. Breakfast at Giolitti right next door was a lovely extra, with a traditional Roman breakfast of delicious Cornetto and "il Vero Capuccino." It wasn't a huge hotel buffet, but it kept us going all morning. Their ice cream was delicious too, especially the pear and strawberry flavors. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it! =D
