We could focus on enjoying Rome instead of sorting out hotel problems, and the staff made sure we were looked after. They were hardly around, but quick to respond when we needed help. I accidentally switched off the A/C, and they had it working again by the time we returned. When we skipped cleaning on the second day so we could rest before another 20k+ step day, they still brought fresh towels. The room was clean and comfortable, with A/C and a decent fridge. The instructions for getting in, collecting the keys, and reaching the room were clear, even though we’d booked through Expedia and weren’t sure what to expect. The location is right in the heart of Rome, near Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, with public transport handy and everything we wanted to see within walking distance. There are loads of restaurants down the alley, plus stores and farmacias close by. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms are lovely and the location is hard to beat, which is why I think it’s worth staying here. That prime spot does mean the rooms are quite small and a bit cramped, though, and the front desk is barely staffed, so there’s almost no service. It’s also pretty expensive by any measure.

The balcony was spacious and really nice, and the staff were kind. The room itself was much smaller and plainer than we expected. If you know that ahead of time and won’t spend much time in it, you should be fine. It’s a very convenient base for visiting Rome’s main sights. We wouldn’t call it a three star hotel, though we don’t have another place in Rome to compare it with directly.

The bed was comfortable, and the HVAC worked well, but the bathroom needs renovation and had mold in several spots. If that’s something you can put up with, the place is great. If not, you know what to expect. The location is exactly where we wanted to be, close to many major sights. During our 4-day (5 night) visit, everything we wanted to see and do was within a half hour’s walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you have limited mobility, keep in mind there are about 12 stairs before you reach the elevator.
