Cardinal Vatican INN

We came for one night and found a charming little hotel just a stone’s throw from the Vatican. It’s small, with only three rooms, and there isn’t really a reception. The proprietor met us there and showed us to the first floor. Our room had a fridge and a comfortable bed, and there’s a shared kitchen area with a complimentary Nespresso machine, cups, glasses, and other basics. Breakfast was coffee and pastries from a local cafe, with a token provided by the hotel. It’s good value, clean, and well placed for the Vatican, Metro, buses, and plenty of restaurants. My tip: reply to the proprietor’s messages and he’ll meet you outside.

It’s a very good place, and I recommend it. The rooms were clean, and communication with the manager over What's App was good. The price covers breakfast at a nearby cafe, a drink and a sweet pastry per person, which was good. It’s close to the metro and bus stops. Someone mentioned parties downstairs. They only happen on Fridays or Saturdays, and the noise is minimal. People sleep normally and don’t mind it.

The owner was helpful and let us check in early. Our room was clean and got cleaned every day, and breakfast was a croissant and coffee at a nearby cafe. There are lots of restaurants around, including places with gluten-free options. The location is great, close to the Vatican and the metro. If you like walking, the Colosseum is about 40 minutes away on foot. I recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed.

The location is great. Breakfast is served at a nearby cafe, not at the hotel, and the choice is limited to just one food item.
