I really enjoyed my stay at the Puccini apartment!

Before we even arrived, the host checked in on WhatsApp to make sure we had the entry instructions and room code. That felt really professional. The service was friendly and understanding throughout, and the place was super clean. There’s a big park right across from the building, and the grocery store is very close. The center is about a 25-minute walk. We liked going in the evening since it was way too hot during the day. 👍 5/5 for service and cleanliness!

We stayed in the “Tosca” room. It was spacious, as was the bathroom, and both had windows and new furnishings. The double bed was comfortable. The location worked well for us: the Auditorium Parco della Musica was 15 minutes away on foot or reachable by bus 2. Piazza del Popolo was also a 15-minute walk, or we could take bus 2 to piazzale Flaminio for the “Flaminio” stop on metro line A. Web check-in and keyless entry were convenient, and the owner was easy to reach on Whatsapp and quick to help with requests or problems. There were some disappointing points. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned very thoroughly when we arrived, especially the floor and the bottom of the toilet. That surprised us because the very positive cleanliness reviews were part of why we chose the place. The bidet was almost unusable because barely any water came out. We also noticed that the tourist tax shown in the booking summary on the website didn’t match the current amount. We told the owner about these issues promptly. He came to see them himself and apologized, and we’re sure it was just an unfortunate run of problems. To clarify in response to the owner’s reply: First, the bidet really wasn’t usable. Only a tiny trickle came out, while the sink and shower worked perfectly. The water flow and bathroom cleaning should have been checked before the room was handed over, rather than left for guests to discover. We accepted the owner’s apology when we reported it and he saw it for himself. He also recognized that a plumber needed to be called and that the cleaning handled by an agency needed improvement. Second, we booked and paid through the property’s website. The costs for the room, final cleaning, and tourist tax were generated automatically, with no option to exempt anyone from the tax, which we weren’t entitled to avoid. Since we’re careful about these things, we checked before the end of our stay that everything had been paid. We then saw that what we had already carefully paid was more than the amount shown in that section at the time: the tax was no longer 6 euros per person per night, but 3 euros. That’s why we had doubts. We promptly shared a screenshot with the owner. He replied that the amount we paid was correct under the current rules and that the error came from the platform he used, which he didn’t manage directly. We were careful because we had paid for a service. Otherwise, we stand by all the positive points in our review and believe what happened was a series of unfortunate coincidences. Kind regards.

For events at the Auditorium or Olympic Stadium, this is a lovely option, right in central Rome. The vacation home has two separate stays to choose from: an apartment for four with a kitchen, or a double suite with its own bathroom.
