They cleaned the room every day, and it was good to get a call from the hotel after we left some belongings behind because of the airline weight limit. The room had enough beds, a new bathroom, and good amenities. The safe was tiny and could use an upgrade. The internet connection was bad, which is a real problem these days, though I’m sure they’ll fix it for future guests.

Coming back to the room felt so comfortable and welcoming. It was clean, modern, and beautifully furnished, and the bed, shower, and mini fridge were especially good. We loved the breakfast and friendly staff too. Having unlimited tea, coffee, fresh water, and biscuits was great when we just wanted a snack. The location was perfect, and this was our favorite holiday. We’ll definitely stay here whenever we return to Rome.

We paid an extra 337 Euro/346.72 after being asked to cover an Expedia commission of $27 Euro and an additional fee for another similar room just because it was ready. When we arrived at 8am, the apartment was locked. Someone by the building door called the manager, who kept saying someone would arrive in five minutes, but we waited on the street in the heat with the kids for over two hours. The owner and manager were out sick, and when someone finally came to open the door, there was no AC. The receptionist told us check-in was at 2pm, as if we didn’t understand travel, though there’s a difference between check-in time and being able to open the place and wait inside. This is an apartment in an old building under renovation, not a hotel. There was no lobby or waiting area, just an old building covered in construction cloth and a key held by someone. If no one is there, you’re left outside. A hotel would have somewhere pleasant inside, with AC, to wait.

I paid almost 300€ for this place for my birthday, and the room was dirty and smelled terrible when I arrived. The owner offered me a bottle of wine on the first day, but her standoffish manner made it seem like she thought I was being fussy. It’s not a hotel. The room was old, stained, smelled of cigarettes, and looked nothing like the photos. The included breakfast is just at a bar around the corner. I’ll let the photos show the rest. I’m a top honest reviewer on Google and usually only write positive posts, and I hope raising this with them leads to compensation for ruining my birthday.
