Coloseum apartments-Santa Maria Maggiore

The price and location were reasonable, but I wouldn't stay again. The Booking.com photos made it look like a hotel, while it's actually a tiny Airbnb in a flat divided into several small rooms with en suites. Our room felt like a prison: it was small, the double bed was two singles pushed together, and the only window faced the building's front door and other flats, so we had to keep it shut. The fridge was barely on when we arrived. With lots of food to store in 30c heat, it should have been cold already instead of only being switched on just before guests arrive. The shower didn't work well. Its head wouldn't stay put because of a bad hinge, the water kept changing from hot to cold, and the door didn't close properly, so water leaked everywhere. Noise from other guests was very loud, and our room by the front door got noise from there too. The walls and doors were thin.

The rooms are pretty bad, and you can't even shut the bathroom door. Breakfast isn't included either. I don't recommend this place.

The food was good, and I liked the place 👍

The staff were really friendly. The place was clean and easy to get to.
