Domus Maggiore

Everything was kept clean, and the staff were respectful and ready to help whenever we needed it. The management was the best. Breakfast was always included, and you get a beautiful view of the church. It’s right next to the restaurant, with a great location near Rome’s finest restaurants. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

We walked to most places from this hotel, thanks to its prime location. The check-in was easy, the hosts were friendly, and we appreciated having breakfast included from the lovely cafe next door. Our room was very clean and the balcony was just right for the two of us. We had a wonderful time.

The bathroom was small but worked fine for us, and the room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was fantastic for afternoon naps in Rome’s intense heat. We were first-timers, and being just a 10 minute walk from Termini Station made finding our way easy after the airport shuttle. For a lovely view of the Basilica and some people watching, book a street-facing room. Breakfast was good value, and the staff at Bar Cottini were helpful. A few Italian phrases and good manners go a long way. One thing to know: check in at Bar Cottini, the cafe on the corner. We walked around the block a few times because there’s no sign by the main door, but that seems standard for Domus style accommodation in Rome.

We checked in late, and the staff waited for us without charging extra, which we really appreciated. The room and toilet were very clean, and everyone was super friendly. Breakfast downstairs at the coffee bar was really good. You could order anything on the menu, with a big selection of pastries and sandwiches. Highly recommended!
