Domus Roma

The room was cold all night, and the air conditioning wouldn't go above 21°C. It was also smelly, so we had to leave the windows open for a while. The fireplace had burned wood and was full of dust. The sheets and bathroom were clean, but dust had built up around the many souvenirs and other decorations, which seemed not to have been cleaned in ages. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with allergies or who dislikes dust and dirt. We'd expected a welcoming, fair place based on the reviews, but the woman who greeted us made us wait at least 30 minutes for no reason. We struggled with the elevator because nobody showed us how to use it, even though we asked. The room was cluttered with pointless decor. Later, the man who came to check us in asked for a €100 deposit in case we broke something, which seemed pointless. His odd manner made us uneasy. We had arranged an early checkout for the next morning, but he walked into the apartment without notice, knocking, or ringing the bell. Then he checked our room for damage even though there was nothing to break. This didn't feel like five-star service at all.

Central Domus is just 200 metres from the side entrance to Termini station, which is really convenient. The owner was friendly and helpful, and I'll definitely stay here again.

The water pressure could have been better. Otherwise, our host was attentive and helpful, and the apartment was lovely. It's in a great part of Roma for exploring on foot.

The owners met us at check-in and made us feel comfortable. We had a private bedroom with an ensuite in a guest house, plus access to shared areas with a full kitchen and lounge that we didn't need. Great location and very friendly owners. I'd recommend it and would book again.
