We were in Rome with a group and hadn’t picked this hotel ourselves, but it turned out to be a great choice. It’s centrally located, close to pretty much all the major sights. Breakfast is its strongest point.

The food was very good and the staff excellent. Our rooms were nice, but the temperatures were inconsistent across the group in December. Some rooms were freezing and others too hot, and the units in the rooms didn’t seem to work.

The rooftop dining and bar area was fabulous, especially in the glorious weather. Every staff member we met was delightful and happy to help during our three-night visit to The Donna Laura Palace in Rome. The hotel is across the road from the River Tiber, so we enjoyed the option of walking along the riverbank or riding the lime bikes. Its location worked well for us too, far enough from central Rome to escape the noise, but near enough for a steady walk into the city or an inexpensive taxi. I’d definitely stay here again.

At 8am, while we were getting ready, a maintenance worker unlocked our room and walked in. When I was upset about it, I felt like I was being made to doubt my reaction. With so many hotels in Rome, just stay somewhere else.

The location by the river was great, and it was easy to find our way back after walking to the attractions. The hotel was lovely, and the staff were so nice and accommodating.
