We stayed in a simple two-room place with air conditioning in each room, a medium-sized fridge, and a kitchenette. If you want, they can stock the fridge with snacks each day. The daily charge is added up and paid at check-in. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well, though the pillows were flat and there was only just enough space. This is a B&B near Roma Termini train station, with easy walks around Rome. The Colosseum is about 15 minutes away on foot, and Trastevere takes around 35 to 40 minutes. At check-in, if you're traveling with several people and lots of bags, you don't all need to cram into the lobby on the second floor. Going up and down can be a pain. Where we stayed, the small elevator allowed only one person and one bag. They do laundry for 20 euro per wash and dry load. For the price and convenient access, you can't go wrong.

Once I'd settled in, I actually missed the place after checking out. Gracie especially was friendly, the service was great, the AC worked, and most things in the room were in good shape. Breakfast was decent and a nice way to start the day, and the location in Monti is hard to beat. The room took me a little while to get used to. If you're expecting it to look as nice as a Hampton Inn, you'll probably be disappointed. Still, it's comfortable enough and reasonably priced, with a great location. I can happily recommend it.

I'd try somewhere else first if you can. The hotel is old and has an unpleasant smell, possibly from mold. Breakfast is available, but we didn't find it tasty or suited to our family's preferences. I think there are plenty of better hotels for the price, so I wouldn't recommend this one.

I got the year wrong when I booked our Rome trip, but the ladies at roma royal residence still took us in at short notice. From the moment we arrived, they were so friendly, pleasant, and accommodating, and did everything they could for us. We really enjoyed our stay, and I can't thank them enough for looking after all our needs. The location is perfect, close to lots of attractions, and there are excellent nearby restaurants with gluten-free options, which I was grateful for. Breakfast was included and they had gluten-free food for me too. There was sausage, boiled or scrambled eggs, cold cuts and cheeses, yogurt, fruit, cakes, pastries, juice, apples, and oranges, plus a coffee machine and hot chocolate. Plenty to set you up for the day. Two families with little kids were there too, and they seemed happy with the breakfast choices. Our first room was a family room with a bed and double sofa bed, both comfortable, and a spotless bathroom. We moved to a double room on the second day. That room was very clean too, with a comfortable bed and shampoo and body wash provided. There was air conditioning in the rooms.
