The location worked really well for getting around Rome, with both the metro and trains close by. I was very happy with the stay. The welcome was great, communication was spot on, and the room stayed cool during the day and comfortable at night. Everything was clean, including the sheets and bathroom, and there was hot water. I didn’t have time to try breakfast, but they had a good range and took my allergies into account. I’m not sure why some earlier reviews were so negative.

The café nearby does a lovely breakfast, with excellent coffee and pastries. The woman who welcomed my colleague and showed us our rooms was kind and helpful. It’s a simple B&B at a fair price for Rome, though the organization could be better. My room also had no hot water for the shower, while cleanliness was generally fine.

The location is a plus, but for the same money I’ve stayed in better places. Most rooms are in the basement, and they felt dark and noisy. There are large windows, but only one side opens, and the lighting is pretty dim. The furniture is new, though the room is very bare: no space for a chair or desk, and just three hangers in the closet. Breakfast meant taking a voucher to the bar across the street, where what I ate was honestly awful. The photos had led me to expect more.

We paid €120 for three people for two nights, which was good value. The place is at basement level, with odd noises at night and somewhat disruptive neighbors. There are rubbish bins right outside the entrance, so I can imagine the smell when coming and going. The bathroom had no towels, and neither bed had a mattress cover. Still, the price was good.
