The central location was a real plus, and we could walk everywhere unless we wanted a break from all that walking. There’s a kitchen just outside the room for breakfast or tea, and cafés nearby if you want breakfast out, though there isn’t much variety, which may just be cultural. The online system for getting into the building and room worked well, just press a button to open the door. The service employee replied quickly, brought us a heater and duvet when we said the nights might be cold, and suggested some good restaurants. Still, the room was much less clean than we expected from the photos and price. There was dust on shelves and other surfaces, brown stains on the toilet paper holder and wall behind it, long hairs in the shower we hadn’t used, dirty-looking curtains, and a safe that needed cleaning. We cleaned some things ourselves rather than raise it during our vacation, but even after the room was cleaned on day three, the brown stains were still there. There was also an occasional bad smell from the bathroom, probably from the sewer. The bathroom door was hard to slide, wouldn’t close fully, and you could see through it. The room was quite dark, with little daylight. At night we could hear cars from the street and noise from the corridor. Deep sleepers or people with earplugs may not mind. Slippers weren’t provided, and it took several messages to get them. I also got a lot of emails and messages with different versions of the building and room access instructions. A single clear page, ideally with pictures, would have helped. The poor cleanliness made us uncomfortable from the start, and despite the convenient location, we wouldn’t stay again.

The owner gave us terrific help for months, arranging rides for our large group and suggesting restaurants. The hotel is in an amazing spot, within walking distance of nearly everything, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and nice. Best customer service I’ve had in Europe. I can’t recommend it enough!

A modern, nice room in Rome with great desk service, highly recommend it. Riccardo was very helpful and welcoming at the start, showing us the room and common area. The housekeeping was hit and miss. They came on Christmas Day, leaving the room spotless and restocking the essentials, but skipped the next day. When they came the day after that, the work was sloppy: we needed toilet paper and didn’t get any, the bed wasn’t really made, and the garbage was still in the room. A common boutique hotel issue in Italy, it seems.

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a large modern bathroom and even a freestanding tub in the bedroom, in Room 8. Gemini Suites Navona’s location also beat our expectations: Piazza Navona is two minutes away, Trevi Fountain takes 12 minutes, and it’s a 30-minute walk to the Colosseum. Lots of good cafés and restaurants are close by. We loved staying here, would come back, and have already recommended it to plenty of friends.
