Gold House

The room was shabby and nothing like the cozy photos, and the accommodation was very noisy. The surroundings felt messy, with street vendors around. I also wonder whether this really deserves a four-star rating. The city tax of 7.5 euros per person felt too expensive. I wouldn't recommend it.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the bed was amazing. The Colosseum and the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano are both within walking distance. There are also a few other attractions nearby, and it's easy to get to the ones farther away.

I'm still staying here as I write this. The owner has been very helpful and gave us a map of Rome with the main attractions marked on it. The room is spacious and clean, with air conditioning for hot days, and the bathroom is a good size. There's also a large mirror in the room. The metro is a three-minute walk away, and a local grocery shop is just around the corner, about 30 seconds away. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Colosseum is a 15-minute walk, and Termini is a 10-minute walk or one metro stop away. Good price for the location, highly recommend. Malva. B.

This is my second year staying here, and I'm enjoying it again. The owner is a really cool, communicative guy who helped us out and gave us a guide. On our first trip to Rome last year, he also suggested some really good places to visit. Everything you need is here, with good restaurants nearby. The metro is a five-minute walk and the Colosseum is about 15 minutes away on foot. 10/10 for those reasons. I'll be back next year))
