Hotel Consul

We were shown a map to help us get around, and they even gave us iced water as soon as we arrived from our journey. The service was excellent. Our superior room had great air conditioning and a fridge, plus a tiny balcony that wasn’t very good. The roof terrace was lovely. The location wasn’t ideal, but we still managed to see all the sights. Breakfast was basic, with scrambled eggs as the only hot dish. There’s a restaurant nearby with appalling service, so avoid it if you can. We’ve just got home after four nights here.

The continental breakfast had plenty of choice, and the small roof terrace had sunbeds, tables, and chairs. The hotel itself was really nice, and the cleaning staff came in every day to change the towels and bedding. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were given an upgraded room, though we don’t know why. Both opening windows had huge cracks running from top to bottom. They were hidden behind the curtains, but I wouldn’t have wanted to try opening them.

We came from abruzzo for a little two-day break in rome and found this Raganelli hotel. The rooms were wonderful, and the place felt very family oriented, with super nice staff. One day we missed breakfast, but the person running the hotel didn’t charge us for the coffee and croissants we asked for. That night we had no milk for our kids, and he gave us some on the house. Such generous staff and great value. They really treat people like family.

Getting into Rome was straightforward, with local buses running toward town and the Cornelia metro every 10 minutes on the 246/247. The SITbus airport service leaves from near the Circonvallazione area, five minutes from the metro, costs €7, runs about every 30 minutes, and takes around 35 minutes. Booking to the airport is advisable since the route starts at the Vatican. If you like Chinese food, Xian Du is excellent value, across the main road and about five minutes toward town. The hotel itself was great for a few days in Rome: lovely staff, clean rooms with tea and coffee, and air conditioning for summer. Breakfast had a good spread of meats, cheeses, eggs, breads, croissants, and cereals, plus great coffee. I’d stay again for the convenient access to the center, reasonable price, and nearby facilities.
