The front desk team arranged our taxi and airport shuttle when we needed them, and they were welcoming and helpful throughout. We spent eight nights at Hotel Della Conciliazione, choosing it because it’s close to the Vatican. Other tourist sites are walkable too. We stayed in two different third-floor rooms, both a decent size, and the property and rooms were clean and well maintained. While we were sitting in the lobby, we happened to see another guest unhappy about something that had happened. The desk employee and manager dealt with it professionally. We tried several restaurants outside the hotel and enjoyed the food. They didn’t feel like tourist traps, and there are good gelato places on the same street. I enjoyed our stay and would recommend Hotel Della Conciliazione to anyone visiting Rome.

Just a reminder to my American friends: rooms in Italy tend to be small, and this hotel’s are too. That aside, this was our second stay here, and the service really stands out. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with an amazing team there to help. It’s very close to the Vatican and good dining. Across the street there’s a great coffee shop and a fabulous Gelato shop. Cheers to this place, enjoy!

The room itself was fine and the location was good, but construction upstairs started around 7 in the morning. A receptionist downstairs seemed surprised and said they’d find out what was happening, but nothing came of it. Not a pleasant way to be woken on vacation. The sheets had red stains when we arrived. The cleaning staff were yelling near the rooms in the morning, and they didn’t change the sheets until we asked. They seemed to turn up again a day later, so they hadn’t even been washed. There was dust on the floor for a couple of days as well. Breakfast was basic, unchanged, and not very good for a four-star hotel.

The staff all greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome, and breakfast had something for every taste. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom came stocked with lots of extras: creams, toothbrush, shaving razor, shower cap, soap, shoe buffer and a manicure set. There was also a great coffee machine in the room. A lovely hotel with home comforts. Very satisfied.

Flavia Rachele and Matteo at reception made us feel right at home and shared all the information we needed to get the most from our time in Roma. It’s a beautiful boutique Hotel in a perfect location.
