Hotel Forte

Hotel Forte is in a beautiful, quiet area despite its prime location. We’ve stayed there before and wanted to return to Rome and stay again, but the hotel was sold out for one of our nights. The front desk employee took time to look for a solution and worked things out so we could stay. He was pleasant and helpful, and the other front desk staff were very nice too. The one thing that could be better is breakfast, which had somewhat limited options.

The staff have been really friendly and helpful. The room is a little small, though maybe most are, and the shower is tiny but serviceable. Highly recommend!

Please read before booking. The location is good, the bed is comfortable, and the hotel is on the first floor of a building with an elevator. But it’s only noise here between 6 and 9 am, and it feels like a very sad joke. Construction in the building starts at 7, and I tried everything, but they don’t stop. The cleaner vacuums at 8 and doesn’t stop even when asked. Doors slam between 6 and 9, and the digital keypads beep very loudly. This hotel isn’t for you if you want a good rest. Dear Hotel, it isn’t ethical to sell rooms near the construction area.

The staff are what make this hotel fabulous. They’re kind, knowledgeable, and caring. On our departure day my partner hurt his ankle, and the man at reception helped us get ice for the swelling and made sure we were comfortable. The cleaners and the woman on breakfast duty couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are a little small, but good compared to many major cities. I highly recommend the hotel. You’re right next to the Spanish Steps and many other places of interest. Getting here by metro from Termini station was easy and cost 1.50 euro. We’d planned to take the metro and train back to the airport from Termini, which seemed like an easy, cheap trip. Because of my husband’s injury, we had to order a taxi instead. The hotel staff booked it for us at a set price of £50 E. Despite the injury, it was a great end to our holiday. Thanks so much to the team!
