Mirage

I left after one night. It felt like staying in a prison: there was cardboard under the mattress instead of a box spring, the bathrooms needed repairs, and every floor had a locked door that you had to get someone to buzz you through. The place was dirty, and the location didn't feel very safe at night. Worst hotel experience I've had. Wouldn't recommend it.

For a seven-hour stop, two rooms for 130 euros felt like a good deal. Both rooms were very clean, the view was nice, and the hotel was a five-minute walk away. Each room had a TV, a nice bed, and a clean bath, but don't expect toiletries or a coffee machine. The staff spoke Italian, so communication could be a challenge, but once we worked through that, they were fairly friendly and willing to help. They even booked a bus to the airport. The booking platform made an error, but the hotel didn't pressure us to pay anything extra.

We left behind a bag of souvenirs from another country, and the staff kept it safe for us. They were incredibly kind, and the prices were the best in the area. The hotel is super convenient, right beside the train station. Highly recommend!

Termini Station is right next door, which was a big plus. I left my luggage for the day while I explored Rome, and the staff were very accommodating even though I arrived before 7 AM. They spoke good English, so I didn't have to inflict my awful Italian on them. When I came back for my backpack, the guy at the desk kindly let me sit and charge my phone for a while.
