We stayed here on November 15. The only thing in its favor was that the sheets were clean. The hotel room was uncomfortably small and didn't look like the pictures. The lights only worked when the key magnet was in a specific slot by the door, and there was mildew under the AC unit. Most alarming, a couple opened our room while we were asleep because they were looking for their own room. I don't know how other guests could have the same room key.

The room was clean, the manager was very nice, and the hotel offers unlimited coffee, tea, and pastries each day. It's a small, unpretentious place in a great location right by the Colosseum, ideal if you're out walking around Rome all day and just need somewhere to shower and sleep. The shower in the room was really tiny, though. We were very satisfied overall.

The location was good, with lots of sights within a 30-minute walk, and there's a café/restaurant right next door run by lovely people, with pretty cheap food. There was a lot of trash around the area and the traffic was intense. Parking fills up fast, so I'd find a spot and leave the car there for the stay. Sidewalks are narrow, and you may need to duck into doorways or walkways to get around groups. You can get a map at the front of the hotel or use Google Maps. The hotel is on the third floor and has nine rooms. There are two locked doors to enter, the front entrance and then the hotel doors, with codes sent the day before arrival. You can faintly hear the neighbors, but it wasn't too bad. Don't expect a view, just buildings. The room was extremely cramped for our family of three. We had two double beds and a single bed, with barely 10 inches (25 cm) between a bed's foot and the wall. The single bed was right under the AC, and there was nowhere else to put it, so we didn't use the AC. The room felt warm and humid a couple of times when we came back. The beds were extremely hard, like sleeping on concrete, and the pillows were very thin. There was black stuff on the sheets when we first arrived, though we didn't notice it until we returned from getting food. The hotel is small and cozy when you first come in to check in. There's only a front desk person from 10-3pm, but you can call or text for help. We had one issue and got a quick response. The bathroom was also insanely tiny. The shower was gross, and the towels felt like paper. They don't replace the towels during your stay, so bring your own, and there's only one roll of toilet paper. No shampoo, conditioner, or soap was provided, so bring those too. The hair dryer was decent, not too hot, but warm enough to dry your hair.

Our room is neat, and we're happy with the service. The hotel is a short walk from the Colosseum along one street, which makes a handy landmark for finding your way around the city on foot.
