The room was spotless and the location was great, peaceful too. Having a lift was a real help with all those stairs. The staff, though, were rude. We’d booked and paid in full through booking.com, then four hours before check-in they contacted us on WhatsApp with a string of voice notes, calls, and messages saying we hadn’t paid. They sent a third-party payment link, which was really stressful. If you don’t want booking.com taking a cut, don’t list there, or explain the arrangement to guests. The way it happened felt scammy, especially while traveling.

They took money from my card after I cancelled a reservation made through an online booking app, even though it had free cancellation. When I asked about it, they accused me of being a scammer and told me to “Go to the hell.” These guys are scammers.

Don’t book here. Our card had been cancelled, so the day before arrival we updated the payment details with a new card. We then received a confirmation code. But when we arrived for check-in the next day, they said our reservation had been cancelled an hour earlier and the room had gone to someone else. They’re scoundrels, the worst we’ve ever seen.
