House Sant'Eustachio

I’ve always stopped at this caffe when I’m in Rome because I think they serve some of the tastiest coffee in town. After nine years away, the coffee was still great, though the place felt more like a tourist attraction than a cafe. Once, I ordered a takeaway and paid without sitting down. The barista asked if I wanted sugar, and I said I’d add it myself. He handed over the coffee, then asked me to leave a euro in a vase on the counter when I asked for sugar. The coffee was nice, but they can keep it for themselves.

Visited in May 2026. The espresso stood out, rich and creamy, made from carefully selected beans. You can tell the roasting is high quality. We bought some beans for home and plan to keep buying them. The attentive cashier, speedy barista, and waiters all help make this shop run so well. Thanks to the owner and team, and keep up the good work.

The pizza was really tasty, and the dessert and wine were delicious too. Both the cheesecake and tiramisu were amazing, especially with a sweet wine alongside. If you’re nearby or get the chance, I’d recommend stopping by this Cafè.

The service was disappointing. The waiter brought the bill without us asking while we were still finishing our drinks, so we felt rushed. The coffee itself was good, but it’s hard to justify the price when nearby places offer the same quality for less. And the pistachio croissant was a letdown :( :(
