Good facilities.

The bathroom was the worst part for us. There was dirt and mold throughout, with so much on the shower rails and grout that the cubicle seemed to be falling apart. The sewage smell was also overwhelming at times, though it wasn't there constantly. We're not usually sensitive to smells, but this was too much. After three nights, we were relieved to leave. There were some good points. The location is excellent, with quick bus and metro connections to the Vatican and city center. The host was very friendly and gave us useful tips on arrival. Our fifth-floor room was easy to reach by an old elevator, and the kitchen appeared well equipped, though we didn't use it. There's an underground garage across the street for €25 a day, with direct access across the road to the building. Breakfast was packaged supermarket snacks, which was fine. We didn't use the TV or small shelf. The bed sheets were clean, but the carpet and bed felt old and dingy, so cleanliness overall left a lot to be desired. Some electrical outlets didn't work. It was annoying, though not a major issue. We stayed three days and hadn't expected much, but still came away disappointed.

Breakfast was plentiful, though every snack was jam, so my children, who don't eat jam, had to get something at the bar instead. The kitchen had several amenities, and the simply furnished room was on the fifth floor of a building with an elevator. The area was fairly quiet, with several restaurants nearby. Bonci bakery/pizzeria is just a few steps away and worth visiting. St. Peter's is about a 10-minute walk, public transportation is convenient, and Ottaviano metro station is only a few minutes away.

Italy was closed to tourists during the April 2020 lockdown, and travel restrictions forced me to cancel my stay. I'm still waiting for the refund. That leaves me questioning the establishment's honesty, and I advise against booking there.
