Houspitality Nero B&B

The room was clean enough and close to the train station, but the neighborhood wasn't good, which I guess the price reflects. There wasn't much usable floor space: a table and four chairs took up nearly all of it, leaving nowhere comfortable to sit. Luggage and shoes had no proper place either. Putting them in the middle of the room meant you might trip at night, while leaving them by the door blocked the entrance. This B&B doesn't include breakfast unless you pay. The landlord also didn't remind us to switch on the water heater. Even after we turned it on and waited an hour, there was still no hot water.

They even tracked down my necklace after I lost it in the air conditioner, and breakfast was delicious. They served American coffee when we asked, too. The staff were helpful and so friendly, and the rooms were modern, trendy and clean. We could walk to the Colosseum, restaurants and shops, and The Vatican was about a 35-minute walk. Termini station and the metro are close as well. They made my first trip to Rome unforgettable. We can't say enough about the place and would most definitely come back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We've stayed here twice now, and Lucia has given us fantastic service both times. Breakfast arrived when we requested it, and gluten-free alternatives were available. The room was clean, had air con and stayed very quiet despite the busy neighborhood. The area looks a little run down, but the central train station is a 10-minute walk away, there's an underground station right nearby, and most sights are easy to reach on foot. A few lovely pizzerias are near la basilica di santa maria maggiore, about a 15-minute walk away. Good price, service, quality and location. On our next Rome trip, this will be the first place we check for availability again.

The apartment wasn't great. The photos on booking didn't match what we found. The shower and bathroom were dirty, there was mold everywhere, stains on the bed, and coffee marks on the walls and carpet. I wouldn't recommend it.
