La Foresteria Luxury Rooms & Suite

The location was the strongest part of our stay at La Foresteria Luxury Suites, and the lift made handling our luggage easier. The staff were warm and helpful, though getting assistance meant texting because reception wasn’t open around the clock. We slept well despite the room facing a busy main road, and there was enough room to be comfortable. I did struggle to find places to organise our belongings. The decor and facilities also felt dated. I’m split on whether I’d return: the location and people are appealing, but the storage and older feel give me pause.

Getting around Rome was easy from La Foresteria – Luxury Suites. It’s close to the Trevi Fountain and a short walk from the Pantheon, with buses nearby for the Colosseum, Vatican City, and Rome Termini, roughly 15-30 minutes away. The property was clean, stylish, and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay. A late-night encounter did leave me uneasy. The building seems to be shared, and someone tried to get in while asking me for the access code. I didn’t give it to them; nothing came of it, but it was uncomfortable. Check-out was also confusing for our 4:00 AM departure, since reception is staffed only at certain times. We often left before the receptionist arrived and got back after reception had closed, which made communication tricky.

The location was the one good thing. The walls were dirty, the shower was moldy, and things were broken. Reception service was lacking. There are much better places on the same street for the same or a lower price. Definitely my first and last stay here.

The location was the only plus for us. We’re not high-maintenance people, but the place wasn’t what we expected, and the photos gave us a completely different impression. It was very dirty, with stains everywhere.
