Liv'in Roma Santa Maria in Trastevere

My family and I were left outside until 2am, waiting for a response. The hosts later said they’d been asleep and hadn’t known what was happening, even though we’d been messaging back and forth. We’d paid through PayPal after they asked us to, but they wouldn’t let us into the property. When I called to ask for my money back, Carol used racial slurs to insult me. I recorded the conversation as proof. Matteo wouldn’t answer the phone or take responsibility, and they didn’t care about what had happened. They were incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. DO NOT STAY HERE OR AT ANY PROPERTY THEY OWN.

The apartment’s only real advantage was its location. The sofa bed (divano letto) was dirty and uncomfortable, with worn-out springs that dug into my spine. The bed was dusty, and the bedding had holes. The bathroom was large and renovated, but the shower tray was dirty and moldy in spots. I asked for an invoice and still haven’t received a response. I don’t recommend this place.

We had a serious security worry when we came back one day and found the front door open, even though I’d locked it before leaving. The room was also cold for two nights because the air conditioning/heating didn’t work well enough to keep it comfortable. Other problems started after check-in: the bathroom faucet leaked, the door didn’t close properly, and there was an issue with the window. The owner fixed the Wi-Fi, which hadn’t worked at first, but left the other issues unresolved. Communication with the owners was slow and ineffective, and all of this affected our stay. I can’t recommend this place if comfort and security matter to you.

The listing said there would be two beds and a sofa bed, but we got one bed and a sofa. The owner also asked us to pay €10 per person for towels and pillows. On top of that, the bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t close. I don’t recommend it.
