Luxury Rooms H 2000 Roma

The location made getting around Rome easy, with most places just 10-15 minutes away. I stayed for three days and found the room clean and comfortable, even if the hotel looks a little dated. Each morning, after cleaning, the lady left breakfast in the room: a croissant, two slices of toasted bread, marmalade, cheese spread, yogurt, a small juice, espresso, and tea. It was simple, so we still ate out for breakfast too. The bathroom was great, and having breakfast brought to the room was handy. Just what I needed for a short visit.

Trevi Fountain and lots of restaurants are close by, and we could walk to most places we wanted to see in Rome. We stayed five days in room 23 with two friends. The room had air conditioning and a small fridge with water, juice, and other food. Towels and bedding were changed daily while we were out, and everything was kept clean. Breakfast was basic, a croissant each plus jam, butter, and other spreads. The receptionist was really friendly and let us arrange a late checkout when we asked. The rooms are perfectly usable, though the bathroom door is thin, sliding, and doesn't lock, so it does little to block sound.

We liked it so much that we stayed here twice during our vacation. The room had lots of complimentary bits in the minibar, including croissants, marmalades, bottled water, juice, milk, and espresso for the machine, plus a couple of other things. Christina at the desk was cheerful and made us feel at home. The place is clean and has such a comfy, calm feel that I could happily have napped all day. With so much in walking distance, it was easy to explore Rome, come back to leave things and rest, then head out again. I'd be back in a heartbeat.

We were nervous after reading comments about dirt and bed bugs, but our room turned out clean, with no smell and no bed bugs. The air conditioner seemed new and worked perfectly during our late March visit. It isn't fully soundproof, and we could still hear a baby crying next door, though it was tolerable for us. We felt the hotel was good value.
