Go somewhere else!!! It was unbelievably cold, and you could hear everyone in the shared apartment. It wasn’t private, just a room. The owner was super rude. I’d give one star for the cleaning and the receptionist lady.

Maurizio, the person we dealt with, was very nice and helpful. The location is great, with a small grocery store close by, but the accommodation is minimal and very cheaply made. One of the beds was only a box spring, and the showers are extremely small and cramped.

The location is the main reason I’m giving this place two stars. It’s in a prime spot, and when we met the man at check-in he seemed pleasant. His daughter Gabriella, whom we also met, was charming. Before we arrived, I asked him to clarify the deposit. I thought it was €100, but €150 had been charged to my credit card. It was a simple question, yet he flew into a rage as if I’d insulted his whole family and threatened to cancel the booking. I nearly told him to cancel and refund me, but finding another place would have been a hassle. When I asked for the deposit back, he wanted my bank details. I said returning it to my credit card would be easier for me as a Canadian, but he refused. He then claimed we’d left a mess that was difficult to clean and didn’t want to return our money. I took the matter to booking.com and used the videos I’d recorded to challenge those claims. After reading other reviews there, I’d made sure to document the apartment because I suspected he’d try to keep the deposit. Maybe he’s only brave behind a screen. Please take videos when you arrive and leave, with the date and time clearly shown, especially at checkout. We stayed on May 4th, and it’s now June 4. Only now have I received assurance from booking.com that I’ll get the deposit back. What a headache!

The apartment was comfortable, right across from Roma San Pietro train station and bus line 64, which goes through central Rome. There’s also a small supermarket open 24 hours about 100m away.
