The first visit was fine, and I thought the bed was really comfortable. But on my second stay, I was left waiting outside for an hour before anyone came to show me the room. I was in Rome for work and had unusual late hours, so with nobody available to check me in, I couldn't even get a nap before heading out.

For what it costs, the quality stacks up well against pricier places. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and breakfast was included. The mold in the bathroom, though, was awful.

The bathroom smelled terrible because of a burst pipe. The employee spoke no English, Italian, or German, and they didn't keep the promises they'd made.

I booked the wrong dates by mistake, and when I arrived there were no rooms available for the dates I needed. The owner wouldn't refund me, so we agreed that he would pay me back if I canceled and someone booked the room again. I canceled, the room was booked again, and he still didn't refund me. Then he stopped responding. He ended up taking money twice for the same room. Dealing with him was the worst experience, and I felt like the owner was a thief.

It's in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood, and for the price it's still very good. There's definitely plenty of room for improvement.
