We spent a great stay here. The room was small, though still comfortable and very clean, which worked fine for us since we were out sightseeing most of the time. The location couldn’t be better, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. There’s a dining space stocked with sweet and savory snacks, plus coffee and tea. I’d happily come back, and would recommend it without hesitation 🙌🏼

Lots of good restaurants are just around the corner, and snacks are available all day. The rooms have been nicely updated, the staff are good, and the prices are reasonable. It’s also a handy base in the historic district for getting to the Vatican, Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. I’ll be back.

The snack bar has drinks and little bites available around the clock, and there’s a dining area with cutlery. We had a wonderful stay, though we never got the city advice and recommendations that the map in the pantry suggested guests would receive. There’s no cooling setting on the air conditioner. When we got too warm, we could open the window a little for the winter air, but then street noise came in, including some drunk people singing at 3 in the morning.

We stayed two nights in January 2026 and had a fantastic room with a beautiful view, right among the sights. The neighborhood has a nice market area, and it’s an easy walk to the Vatican. For a special trip to Rome, we think Ottavia is worth considering.

The snack and coffee bar was a nice way to start the day, and the staff at Maison Ottavia were warm and attentive. They were always happy to help or suggest places to eat and things to see. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The hotel sits in a charming neighborhood with easy access to the main attractions. It made our time in Rome memorable, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a comfortable, luxurious stay in the city center.
