Metropolis - Hotel di Charme

The room was tiny, about the size of a bathroom, and the price made no sense for it. The walls seemed like cardboard, since it felt as if all the neighbors on our floor were right in our little room. And in a double room at a FOUR-STAR hotel, we got just ONE pillow and ONE towel. I'd strongly suggest choosing somewhere else.

I really enjoyed my stay in September 2022. The staff were excellent and pleasant, from the front desk to the kitchen and room service. The rooms were clean, the laundry service was good, and breakfast was a buffet. Recommend.

The bed was very comfortable and sturdy, breakfast was quite good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My street-facing room was clean when I arrived, then tidied daily, though the sheets weren't changed. I had fresh towels every day too. The street had some traffic, but it wasn't too bothersome, even though I'm sensitive to noise when sleeping. The bathroom could use a few minor repairs, but all in all I was pleased with the stay.

The location is fantastic, with Lepanto metro right nearby and pretty much everywhere walkable. It's in a more residential area, so the evenings were quiet. In December I really appreciated being able to control the thermostat, and the room stayed very warm on cold evenings. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. I saw comments about the service and strange smells and wondered if those people had stayed at the same hotel. I'd come back and recommend it.
