Milus

It's about an hour's walk from the city center and good value, with nearby places to eat out at quite low prices. Everything is self-service, just a room in a flat, with no check-in desk or restaurant. The toilets aren't ensuite, but each room has its own toilet and key, so it feels private enough. If you're happy eating out or making simple meals on the stovetop, this place is comfortable and great. The oven is out of order.

The place was spotless, and I loved all the plants around. They lift your mood and make everything feel more welcoming. My room was comfortable, spacious enough, and had a big balcony with lots of plants around it. The hosts were lovely, friendly, easygoing, kind and attentive to details. I had a really relaxing time. I don't understand the low ratings, this place is amazing and I'll definitely come back. The location was great for me too. It's in a quiet spot away from the main road with a nice view from the windows. Underground line A isn't too far, about 5-7 minutes by bus.

The price is very cheap, and the service was polite. It was mostly clean, though not very modern. The area felt a little bit ghetto, and we could hear the guys in the next room having fun. The shower head mount was broken, and the bathroom wasn't in the hotel room. Parking, like everywhere in Rome, was hard.

It's 30 minutes from Roma termini, which is pretty convenient for budget travel. We had a nice balcony and the room's AC was amazing. The bathroom was separate, so you had to walk through the hallway, but apart from that it was an amazing place to stay.
