Monti Palace Hotel

Our family room was huge, with very comfortable beds, bedding, and pillows, plus a big, nice bathroom. The whole hotel was very clean, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was good quality, and we enjoyed the hot drinks, juices, little cakes, and bacon. My little girl would have liked pancakes or poached eggs, so a few more choices might be nice. The location is fabulous, right in the heart of Rome. The neighborhood felt very safe while still being lively, with nice restaurants and shops. We had hoped for a coffee machine with pods in the room given its category and price, but there was only a kettle with drink sachets. That’s just constructive feedback, not a complaint. We really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend the accommodation.

We loved ending the day on the terrace, playing cards, sipping delicious drinks, and taking in the gorgeous nighttime view of Rome. After long days sightseeing, Monti Palace felt like a perfect home away from home. Our family of five, including two college students and a high school student, stayed four nights over Christmas in two spacious rooms, which is unusual compared with our past stays in Rome and other European countries. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious and modern. The water pressure was just right, something we’ve had trouble with in Rome before. The facilities were clean and had what travelers need. Breakfast had plenty of fresh options for our group’s different food preferences. The staff were friendly and available at all times. So many major sights are a short walk away. We hope to return and will recommend Monti Palace to everyone we know traveling from NY to Rome.

The rooms were spacious, though they could use some upkeep and maintenance. Breakfast was awesome, with a great selection of sweets, yogurt, bread, cheese, and coffee and tea, all fresh and flavorful. The staff were attentive and efficient, and also really helpful and friendly. Great location, and thanks for the hospitality. We’ll be back!

The rooftop bar was fabulous in the evening, and the continental breakfast in the morning was amazing. The rooms felt modern and comfortable, with luxurious towels in the bathroom. It’s only minutes on foot from the Colosseum and other sights. I wish we’d booked a longer stay.
