Umberto has equipped the place with just about everything: a hairdryer, an iron, washing machine tablets, and plenty of coffee pods for the espresso machine. The apartment was spacious and very clean. We also found wine, soft drinks, and water in the fridge, which were much appreciated after a long drive. The tourist tax is a little steep, though that can’t be helped.

The owner was very helpful, and the apartment stayed warm enough for us in winter despite the limits on city heating. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, about a ten-minute walk from the metro. Both bedrooms had comfortable double beds. The apartment was spacious, pleasant, and well equipped.

We arrived to a complimentary bottle of wine, two cans of Coke, two bottles of water, and several pods for the coffee machine, which made very good coffee. The apartment also had oil, salt, vinegar, and detergents, along with air conditioning in every room, a very nice TV, and a PS4 that was temporarily out of order, so we couldn’t use it. There’s plenty of room, with two bedrooms, a dining room, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The building is elegant and the neighborhood quiet. The metro is five minutes away, Carrefour Express is two minutes away, and there are some interesting restaurants nearby. The manager answered all our messages promptly, even late on Saturday evenings. For the very low price, I think it would be hard, maybe impossible, to find a better balance of quality and cost. This is a highly recommendable place.
