Navona Street Hotel

The one clear positive was the location: major Rome sights are within walking distance. I stayed for two nights, May 29 to May 31, but the room itself was very disappointing. The listing photos gave me a completely different impression. Space was tight, the shower had no glass door, so water ran across the whole bathroom, and there wasn’t even a small box of tissues. I knew when booking that I might not get a great view, but only after the booking and payment were processed did I receive an email saying the room was on the ground floor. It was very dark, with poor lighting, and the window couldn’t be opened to look outside because it was blocked. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a more comfortable place to rest.

I’d miscounted how long I was staying in Rome and needed another night, so we booked here. We were delighted with the great price, lovely room, spectacular complimentary breakfast, and staff. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast was excellent and never felt crowded, probably because the hotel has only a limited number of guests. The restaurant also has good-value snacks and drinks at happy hour. We found the staff welcoming and easy to approach, and the location made it simple to walk to both the Colosseum and the Vatican. Our room was smaller than expected, and the air conditioning felt a bit too cold. It was a comfortable, friendly place, more like a cozy B&B.

We were glad we chose this tucked-away spot in a great part of Rome. The street has lots of places to eat and drink, and the included breakfast was nice. We walked to the Colosseum in 36 minutes, and the Vatican wasn't far either. The front desk was responsive, especially Olivia, who greeted us with a smile. We had a lovely stay and would be happy to come back.
