I stayed five nights and found it peaceful and safe. The staff were helpful, and the other women staying there were lovely. There’s heating, showers, and hot water. The toilets and the rest of the place could be cleaner, and it needs renovation. The two rooms are divided by a partial wall, so there was some noise. A good option for a few days in Rome.

Stella and Nina, the two cats who live in the complex, were a nice surprise. I felt safe and the place was clean, with a lovely garden to wander around. It’s a women-only hostel, part of a nonprofit that supports aspiring women artists and women in need, or something along those lines. There’s a beautiful cafe in the middle with delicious, authentic food, plus amazing performances on the nights we were there. They can do your laundry for a fee. The beds weren’t five-star comfortable and it got hot, though. It’s a hostel in old Roam, so you can’t have everything. Summer courtyard performances can be loud, so bring earplugs.

I was traveling alone and felt right at home here. The location was perfect, and I could walk to all the tourist attractions. It’s a very nice women’s hostel, with friendly, helpful staff. I understand it’s part of a community for women, so there are other events too. I went to a play one evening and it was beautiful. The spring mattresses weren’t the most comfortable and the fans were too slow, but those were minor issues.

The shared bathroom was smelly and dirty, and the beds creaked a lot and didn’t feel sturdy, which disturbed my sleep. Some curtains or simple barriers between beds would help block the light at night. The rooms were comfortable and had a fan, though. It’s a quiet, friendly place in a cool area, with a nice garden, but I hadn’t realized it was communal before arriving. Staff were helpful.

I felt very safe here, and my room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the showers and bathrooms were nice too. The staff were kind and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Rome on a budget.
