Palazzo Baj in Trastevere

I loved staying here! The room was clean and a great size, and Laura, the owner, made the place feel so welcoming. She gave us wonderful recommendations for food and sightseeing. The Trastevere location is perfect, close to the main tourist spots but not right among all the tourists. If I get the chance to visit Rome again, I'll absolutely stay here.

Palazzo Baj Guesthouse is right in the middle of Trastevere, with top-rated restaurants less than a five-minute walk away and pasta spots, wine bars, and nightlife close by. Laura made the visit especially easy, sharing great local tips and helping with directions, restaurant choices, and bookings. She’s warm and clearly cares about her guests. The place was spotless, and the rooms felt roomy for such a central spot, with high ceilings, elegant decor, and lots of daylight. Complimentary cake and coffee were available through the day, which was a nice pick-me-up after exploring or first thing in the morning. I had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return.

Laura made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. She shared plenty of useful information about the area and gave us recommendations. The guesthouse had the cozy comforts of home and was clean, with more of a villa feel than a hotel, so we got to experience a more genuine side of Rome. We loved staying here and will definitely come back.

We really enjoyed the comfortable room, and the host made sure it felt that way. The location was great too, close to restaurants as well as the main sights.
