We were celebrating our engagement and had booked the hotel with a lot of excitement, but never got any check-in details. We called over and over and emailed, and nobody replied. They took $600 from our account, yet we couldn't check in at all. After a long day of travel, we had to find somewhere else at 11 p.m., which cost another $500. We couldn't get a refund or any solution, and the whole thing left us with a bad feeling.

The staff at both reception and breakfast were so friendly, and our room felt magical. We spent four nights there and had an amazing experience. It’s centrally located, just a few minutes’ walk from the Pantheon and other tourist spots. Highly recommended.

Getting in touch with the company before the stay was impossible. They only sent entry details the day before, and we eventually got a reply by messaging them on Instagram. The location is the one real plus, convenient for popular sights and good food. The room had black mold all over, dirty walls, a bathroom door that wouldn’t shut, and two single mattresses pushed together for the bed. Breakfast choices were limited but okay. The AC quit one day, though we managed to catch the reception person before they left. Reception is staffed only for a couple of hours in the morning. Calling this place five star is a huge stretch, and I’d never pay that price to stay again. There are lower rated places nearby that look much nicer and have better reviews.

After a 14-hour international flight, I got there late at night and found the door locked. There were no check-in instructions, and nobody answered my emails, calls, or Expedia messages. I was stuck outside with my luggage and had to find another hotel on the spot. Even after following up several times, they’ve refused to refund me or acknowledge what happened. I had a deeply disappointing experience, and I’m sharing it so others know to be cautious when booking.
