Think carefully before booking the Pfori Hotel in Rome, Italy. We stayed four nights, and our room was ransacked. Valuables were stolen and our bags were damaged. The photos make the place look safe and pleasant, but I found the area had a lot of thefts. When I reported what happened at the Police department, two other couples were there reporting the same kind of incident in the area. This place is a shame. Consider your money and safety before booking, and don’t be tempted by the photos.

For a budget stay, this was a great place, easy to reach and very central. The shower and sink were on the small side, which is why I’m giving it four stars. Right downstairs there’s a wonderful bakery/restaurant with tasty food at better prices, and across the back street is an Irish pub serving a wonderful Irish breakfast.

The location is good and the guy was nice. When we asked, they did clean the shower drain. But the cold showers and mold around them made this a poor stay. Calling it a “hotel” doesn’t seem right to me, since it’s just a few rooms in an appartment.

Nothing fancy, but it’s inexpensive and in a good location.

A sketchy place, with a tiny bathroom and an unpleasant smell.
