Pigneto Suite & Rooms

Before we even got there, they sent useful information. When we were running a little late, they checked in by message to see if we were all right or needed help. The bedroom and living room were beautiful, and the people were lovely and incredibly helpful. Getting around was easy: trams go to the main station, and bus 81 serves most sights and attractions. Thank you, we had a wonderful stay!

It’s a small, comfortable place, and the service was kind and friendly. The only little downside was traffic noise at night and the long ride to Rome’s attractions, which could take up to about an hour.

The neighborhood, Pigneto, was really dirty. There was poop in the road, a pee smell everywhere, and piles of rubbish, bottles, bags, cigarette ends, old food, plastic and glass on every corner. I didn’t feel safe going out at night. The room also fell short on cleanliness. There were stains on the walls, doors and floor, and the shower drain was so blocked that after three minutes of showering, water covered my feet. It felt disgusting because I couldn’t be sure it had been cleaned after the previous guests. Breakfast was just old food left on a plate in the kitchen for at least the three days we were there. How can they leave that sweet bread sitting there for a week collecting dust and serve it to guests? And the noise was awful. The tram went back and forth all night under our room, shaking the door, bed, windows and tables and making a horrible tatatatata sound. Earplugs and three pillows on my head didn’t help; I was awake all night. Then from 7am I could hear people chatting and laughing because we were next to the kitchen where they ate late dinner and breakfast. I had a migraine for the two days I stayed in Rome. I don’t understand how this place gets such good reviews.

It’s in one of Rome’s trendy neighborhoods, within walking distance of good bars and near both the tram and metro. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and the prices fair.
