For the price, this was a good hotel, and my experience with the service was much better than other reviews suggested. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t luxurious, but it had what I expected from a three-star hotel. At breakfast we could pick toast, a croissant, or cereal, and we always got coffee while eating.

The advertised breakfast was a joke: cereal, toast, croissants, tea, or coffee. The website photos also give a misleading impression of the hotel’s condition, which seemed not to have been maintained for a long time. I’ve never stayed in a worse hotel. The room had no phone or safe, despite these being advertised, and the bar fridge didn’t work. The carpet looked as though it hadn’t been washed in years, and I wouldn’t walk on it barefoot for fear of catching some kind of disease. The bathroom had a leaking toilet and a leaking bath that flooded the floor when we showered. There was mould on the walls and peeling paint. After we complained, we were moved to another room that was no better, though at least it had tile floors instead of carpet. It’s advertised as three stars, but to me it was a zero-star place that should be closed because it’s a risk to public health. I personally wouldn’t let my dog stay there.

The location worked well for public transport, though the area wasn’t the best at night. The mattress was surprisingly good, and the Chinese man at the night reception was amazing. Those were the only bright spots. This was a monster of a hotel, dirty and old, with things broken, damp everywhere, and bad service.

The breakfast was awful, and the coffee was cold, if what they served could even be called coffee. Staff were rude and uncooperative, and the room wasn’t clean. The bathroom door was broken. When I asked for another room, they bluntly said no. They kept assuring me each day that a technician was on the way to fix the door, but apparently he couldn’t arrive in three days. I’d never recommend staying here. It’s a joke of a three-star rating.
