Regola Luxury Relais

The service was more than we expected from a guesthouse. Our room was cleaned daily, and we had juice and croissants each morning. Daniela arranged an airport taxi that arrived on time and cost nothing extra. She and Stefano were terrific hosts, helping with restaurant recommendations, laundry, and luggage storage after checkout. The room was modern, spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. At night the area was relatively quiet, with cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. The Pantheon is about a 10-minute walk, and Trastevere, with all its restaurants and attractions, is just across the nearby bridge. We expected the Relais to be nice from the reviews, but it was even better than we'd hoped. We'll stay again if we return to Rome. Highly recommended.

We couldn't get hot water in the shower on the evening before our 10-hour flight, even after letting it run for plenty of time. Our friends had the same problem. When we texted, the hotel said, "That is strange," but offered no fix. Since it was evening, we understood why there might not be a solution then. Still, after we got home and contacted them again, we were told there had been hot water the morning before we arrived and the morning after we left. None of us got a warm shower, and we weren't offered any compensation beyond an apology. The rooms were very nice and updated, and we loved the bathrooms. We spent just one night there last month with friends, returning to Rome after staying in Florence so we could catch our flight home. The place seems to be a group of rooms in a building with other businesses and residences. Trastevere is conveniently close, just across the bridge. The front desk is only there from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and we never met a staff member in person. As a travel agent, I try to give clients especially good service when they face a difficult situation, so I would have offered something more than an apology in these circumstances.

Daniela, the owner, was especially kind, attentive, and helpful, and the staff made us feel welcome. Everything ran smoothly and professionally, and the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well organized. It was also conveniently located for exploring Rome. I really appreciated the hospitality and would happily stay here again.

Daniela helped us sort out an issue with a booking through a third-party platform, and I really appreciated her understanding. Her help made it possible for us to enjoy the stay, and we'd gladly come back. She also helped us arrange airport transfers. Fresh juice and croissants were provided each morning. The room was modern, clean, and well kept, with good soundproofing. It was relatively quiet, as much as you can expect in a city with near-constant sirens and honking. It's a practical, comfortable base within walking distance of Rome's classic sights and Trastavere.
