Rent Rooms Colosseum

The place is only a few minutes from the Colosseum, and the phone-based door system was convenient. But the room was in a damp, smelly basement, with black mold throughout. I couldn't open the window because it was at sidewalk level and people could see in. There was hair and a hair tie in the shower, which didn't look clean. Everything felt dirty and moldy, and the toilet was so close to the wall that you had to sit sideways. The bathroom water pressure was very weak. Housekeeping kept switching off the air conditioning, which we were using to dry the room. Our laundry stayed damp, and the towels never dried in the humidity. They weren't changed either. There was just one chair, nowhere to dry clothes, and no plates, cutlery, or bin. The only extra was a very dirty kettle that looked as if someone had used it for paint. The photos looked nice, but seeing the place in person was a letdown. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The digital entry system didn't work properly, and another guest was able to get into our room. We felt unsafe and moved to a different hotel. The owner agreed to refund us at the time, but then stopped responding, and we still haven't received a refund or any resolution. It wasn't worth the hassle.

This Rent Rooms Colisseum place has apparently been out of operation for two years. Don't book a room through any site. You'll pay and get nothing.

We found bedbugs in the room and got bitten.
