We loved this place and want to remember it for a future Rome trip. Our family stayed at Residenza Al Saraceno in August 2012, and its central position makes it one of the best starting points for exploring the city. It's tucked away from the street bustle, yet Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and other attractions are only minutes away. The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable, with a master bedroom and a living area where the sofa converted into a bed. There was free wifi and a small kitchen. A grocery shop is right outside, buses and trains are a short walk away on the main streets, and the restaurant downstairs was delicious. We ate there on our first night because we were too hungry to go farther. Most other places were a short walk away too, and we spent most of our time walking rather than taking cabs.

The main draw is the location, just around the corner from Trevii fountain and a little over five minutes on foot from the Rome Metro. It does get quite noisy at night because of that, but I was happy to accept the trade-off. The rooms at Al Saraceno have all the expected amenities, comfortable beds, soap, and bottled water.

The rooms are very modern, and the location is perfect for reaching the major attractions. There's a supermarket across the street. No coffee machine in the room, though, so you'll need to get coffee downstairs at the cafe.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. What stood out most was Horacio and his staff, who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay.
