The room at the back was really quiet, and the hotel is well located, not too far from the metro. Two of the four stars are for the staff: my roommate found my charger, and the receptionist tracked me down at the cafe next door to tell me. Mille Gracie! The room had two levels, with a small, poorly equipped kitchen downstairs. The shower was broken and only had a handheld head, and there was no warm water on the first morning. Cleanliness gets three stars from me. As others have said, the last renovation was quite a few years ago and the place badly needs another one. There’s no restaurant or bar in the hotel, and very few options right nearby.

The staff were nice, but I wouldn't stay here again. When we turned on the light, it exploded at us. The furniture and TV were really old, and the toilet made a loud, strange noise every time we flushed, like something out of a horror movie. The AC made weird sounds outside and scared my kid. It was a horrible experience. Please go to a different hotel, this was zero stars for me.

The apartment gave us plenty of space, and the location felt safe. But a lot of things went wrong, and our requests to the daytime front desk staff didn't lead to an apology or a discount. They said they were remodeling 6-10 rooms at a time and that the large apartments hadn't been renovated yet. They acknowledged that they were significantly old, but still didn't offer any discount despite all the trouble. We'd booked a room with 4 twin beds and one queen bed, confirmed through chat with the host, but got 6 twin beds instead. The mattresses were old, cheap, and rock-hard. The upstairs bathtub wouldn't drain, so every shower left the person standing in 4-8 inches of water, depending on how long they showered. The kitchenette was tiny and short on cooking utensils. There was no drying rack, the sink leaked into the cupboard and onto the floor, and the countertop was loose enough to lift with one finger. The promised high-speed WiFi and TV didn't work from day one. We could hotspot our phones to the TV to watch YouTube, but no programs or streaming services worked. The WiFi was never high-speed, so I had to hotspot my phone whenever we needed internet. We were there with 4 children, and after walking 9-11 miles in a day, we needed that downtime and couldn't get it. The hotel is south of Rome, right at the city limits, and a 10-minute walk from the metro's second-to-last stop. We figured being in the business district would mean quiet, but apparently there was a concert down the block. The thumping and banging went on until 4 am. Rome's quiet laws start at 12am, but they were disregarded. We were too far away to hear the actual music, and the front-door security staff couldn't help us find out what was going on. We had to wait until morning to learn why it had been so loud. There was no desk staff from 11pm onward. The security staff at the front desk didn't speak English, and they didn't understand or grant our requests for help. Nobody told us about the lack of staff beforehand, so we only found out too late. The apartment did have a lot of space, though there wasn't really a kitchen. Adding a picture of our "queen sized bed."

The rooms have plenty of space, but ours was old and dirty. The hotel and many of its rooms are above a nightclub, with music inside and outside until 2 in the morning every day. There's no breakfast or other extra services. At least the receptionist, a bearded man, was unfriendly and impolite.

At least the place was clean, and there's a restaurant just outside the entrance. But the loft looks like it hasn't been updated since the 60s, I assume, and there's no room service. The "parking available" description is misleading: there's a parking garage next door, but it isn't affiliated with the hotel and doesn't offer preferred rates. For what you get, they should charge well below $100/day. Be prepared to be underwhelmed if you book here.
