Sol Romae

We booked a triple room with three separate beds and received confirmation, but when we arrived late at night, there was one double bed and a small folding bed instead. The room was in poor condition, and the bed wasn't clean. No one was at reception, and we couldn't get help in person. We could only reach the owners by phone. They were rude during the calls, refused to move us to another room, and also refused to refund us. The price was not low for what felt like a doss-house. Since staying there was impossible, we had to leave at midnight and urgently find another hotel. We don't recommend this place. Even near the Vatican, there are more comfortable options with friendlier owners and lower prices. Our impression of B&B Sol Romae was minus one star. Reply to Evy: We didn't feel your staff tried to help. Our booking for two people and the later rebooking for three had different prices, and we paid the higher amount for three. We have the right to describe our experience. We did eat our sandwiches while waiting for your staff, and the table was clean afterward. The room, especially the bed, was not clean when we arrived. We hope you improve the condition of the rooms and the attention given to guests in this wonderful city, Rome. Good luck.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's in a residential building that's easy to access, with bus and metro connections nearby. Breakfast is made to order and was fresh and good. There are also restaurants and markets close by.

Our room was cozy and good, but the receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. We got to the hotel around 6 p.m. and nobody was at reception. After two hours of calling and waiting, a neighbor helped us reach the staff, and we were finally able to get into our room.

A nice place with good bedrooms and friendly staff. It's on the second floor of a residential building and easy to access. Bus and metro stops are very close, and the neighborhood has restaurants and markets.
