We arrived in Rome to find the hotel saying they had no record of our reservation and telling us to leave. They were harsh and rude, and even after we kept asking what had happened, they gave no explanation for the confirmation email they had sent us. We had booked eight weeks ahead and had received that email directly from the hotel with a confirmation number and all the details. They sent us to a more expensive hotel. I suspect some hotels may hold rooms for higher bidders, though I can't say for sure that was happening here. Be careful. In Rome, you can end up with no choice but to pay more when you're left stranded like we were.

After a long trip, we were glad to get to the room we'd booked, but the receptionist said there were no rooms because of “water issues.” We'd called the day before to confirm, and still got this surprise. The receptionist was stubborn and really rude, then booked us into what they described as the cheapest, poorest hotel in town, with no compensation. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a welcoming place. Find somewhere else to avoid this kind of bad surprise. Cheers!

The room itself was nice, but breakfast was a letdown. There was very little to choose from and it often ran out. The croissant was basically a hot dog bun, and you could only have one food item. Even the toast came in small prepackaged portions.

Breakfast was awful, just processed toast, a wrapped croissant and jam. There was no TV in the room, no coffee and no hot water either. I wouldn't recommend this place when there are better options.

I'm trying to confirm my booking, but the hotel won't answer the phone and its email inbox is full. I have no idea what to do!! 😪
