Rooms Monteverde 2

We left before our scheduled checkout, but the host kept all the money, including the amount for the time we were no longer staying there. I still can't decide whether the worst part was being called a liar or having a piece of the bathroom door frame fall onto my head. I was washing my face in the tiny bathroom one morning when the piece hit me hard and scared me badly. After I made sure I was okay, I texted the host at 07:52 and mentioned other problems with the room too. She didn't reply until 11:30. In that message, she accused me of lying and falsely claimed I'd brought more guests than declared. I was in Roma with my daughter for something important to her. The host accused me of bringing people to sleep together in a tiny one-bedroom place. When I brought up the door frame, she acted unconcerned and said the piece wasn't that heavy. She didn't offer a refund or any help, and didn't even call. The room was small and smelled bad. We had to use artificial light in the living area because the window faced a very poor view. The bedroom bed was uncomfortable. The host had said there was a “garden/giardino” outside the window, but what was actually there was an abandoned sort of terrace among garages. We were on floor “minus one”, in a basement. There were other discomforts during our stay at “rooms Monteverde,” but this is already long enough. NOT RECOMMENDED.
