Breakfast was included, though there wasn’t any out on the first morning. On the second, there were pastries, juice, coffee, cereal, and more. Our room also opened onto the roof deck, with a great view of the Spanish Steps. The room was tidy, comfortable, and modern, with a very upscale bathroom and a large walk-in shower. All the amenities were there. We’d stay again, especially for the very central location.

It’s a simple, fairly nice hotel at a good price, and you can walk to pretty much everything in Rome. The room was fresh, good quality, and newly renovated. That said, it felt more like a hostel. The rooms are small, the corridor is narrow, and the thin walls let you hear other guests coming and going. There’s no night service.

The location is good, but the quality was average. Breakfast and reception are in one building, while the rooms are in another, both on the fifth floor. Having to go between the two buildings for breakfast meant four trips each morning, and the old lift made the whole thing a hassle.

The area is quieter than central Rome but still has plenty of food, life, and culture. It’s about 15-20 minutes from The Vatican, and getting there is easy by metro from Termini to Lepanto. Metro travel is cheap, and it’s worth saving a picture of the underground map. Staff can also help with maps and directions. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels. The memory foam beds were comfy, the cotton sheets were nice, and the pillows were fantastic. It had a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, a mini fridge, air con, and a safe. I’d asked whether we could have a balcony for my husband, and they gave us a room with a rather disarranged balcony setup. He rearranged it, and it worked out superbly for us. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were welcoming. They take a photo of your passport, which felt unusual. The hotel felt very secure, but it isn’t suitable for disabled access because of the step at the entrance. There is a lift, an old-fashioned one that feels like something from an old Italian film. Reception isn’t staffed at night. We had a power cut overnight, but it affected the area, not just the hotel. It’s a good option for families, solo travellers, couples, or other visitors. I’d definitely stay again, and I’m a clean freak!
