We had a wonderful stay in a very clean apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. There was even an espresso machine alongside the usual appliances, and the rooms were cleaned every day, like in a hotel. Food is easy to find nearby, with trattorias, restaurants, and pizzerias just a 2-3 minute walk away. There are also public and private parking lots a few dozen meters from the apartment. As for sightseeing, Piazza Navona is only five minutes away, while Castel Sant'Angelo, the Vatican, and the Pantheon take under fifteen minutes on foot. It’s a bit farther to the Spanish Steps, Via dei Condotti, and Trevi Fountain, and around half an hour to Piazza Venezia, the Imperial Forums, and the Flavian Amphitheater.
We felt cheated by what we found compared with the beautiful photos. They make the place look spacious, fresh, and modern, but in reality it’s much too small and poorly equipped to eat, live, or spend time together normally. The apartment has one bed, a sofa that opens into a sofa bed, and a table with four chairs, and that’s about it. The fixed-head shower is only 60 by 60 cm, so there’s barely room to stand or turn around. In the kitchen, you can make just one cup of coffee at a time, and there are hardly any utensils for making a decent meal. The elevator is broken, apparently for quite some time, so hauling suitcases up the stairs is a chore. I also have doubts about whether the place meets regulations. There’s no fire escape, smoke detector, or fire extinguisher, and I wonder whether the electrical installation has been properly inspected. It feels dangerous. The photos seem to come from a good photographer, but what’s offered doesn’t match what’s actually there. Not recommended.
The accommodation was good quality, but a few things disappointed me. It looked smaller in person than in the photos, and air conditioning was only available in certain rooms. The bathroom was cramped, and, like everywhere in Rome, it was expensive.
We had a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment that worked perfectly for four people. It had loads of room to cook, plus a dishwasher and washing machine, and it was clean and well equipped. The welcome was very warm, and the value for money was great. A really lovely place to stay.
The amenities are simple but do the job, which makes this a good option for a short or medium-length stay. The location is superb.
