Check-in was easy, rather like an Airbnb, and I'd recommend the place. The double room was huge and very nice, with Mons, a great bar, right next door. You're centrally located, with just one flight of stairs. The only drawback is that the shower feels tight if you're a larger person.

The room looked appealing in the photos, but the cleanliness was awful. Dirt on the floor turned our feet black, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom. There was grime in the shower grout and around the sink and taps. The sheets looked used and worn, threads were coming loose, and the pillowcases didn’t fit the old pillows. Ants were all over the room, especially on the walls and bedding. Getting fresh linens was difficult because housekeeping came very late. We couldn’t open our window either: it looked into a small courtyard where people could see into the room, and housekeeping kept dirty linens there. I’d never stay again. Absolutely horrible.

The management argued with me instead of trying to help, blamed Expedia, and took no responsibility. They were happy to take the money, but did nothing to make the stay decent. The room was dirty, and I even found bugs in the toilet. It was also so poorly insulated, with rooms packed close together, that we could hear neighbors talking and walking around. On top of that, the bed was painfully hard. One of my worst stays. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I wouldn’t come back even if it were free.

The room was clean and the location was fantastic, but the building is currently a construction site. The bar downstairs stays open until 2am, so keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Don’t pay extra for anything, especially drinks. What you get doesn’t match the website, maybe about half of what’s shown, and not even every day.
