Roman Station House

Just a bare-bones room across the road from the train station.

The room and bathroom were clean, had no smell, and matched the photos. The bedding and towels were soft, and the room had Netflix, air conditioning, and a bathroom radiator. I found Italian winter warmer than I expected, so the cold wasn't much of an issue. The shared area had a microwave, coffee pot, cups, and a fridge. Getting there is easy, just leave the station and cross the street, though I got lost because I didn't realize the apartment was section A on the right. The guide was friendly and helped me in English. There's an extra fee for checking in after 8:30. I took the 5 o'clock T'way train and then a bus, and started getting anxious about the timing. Even if you leave the departure line early, allow two and a half hours. I booked at the last minute and was nervous about the station at night, so I liked being able to get inside quickly.

The area was convenient, with a metro and train station right next door, but I didn't feel safe there. There were lots of homeless people nearby, and one night I saw a fight with bottles and other things while I was coming back. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a good bed, a shower that worked perfectly, and heating that was just right. The wardrobe was handy too, and the contact person was friendly and easygoing.

The guy was attentive to our little requests and gave us helpful information. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with wonderful beds. The bathroom was comfortable and just the right size. The location is very strategic. We were only there one night, but started a nice walking tour of Rome from the B&B. For lunch, there are options to choose from at Termini station.
